RECARO named “Best Brand” for the 10th time – Seat manufacturer wins again at the “Sport Auto Award 2016”

Kirchheim/Teck, Germany. Anniversary on the podium: For the 10th year in a row, RECARO Automotive Seating defended its title unchallenged as the best seat manufacturer at the “Sport Auto Award 2016.” With 91.4 percent of a total of 16,953 votes cast in the category seats / sports seats, the premium manufacturer has not only set itself apart decisively from its competitors. RECARO thereby also achieved the strongest result of the 19 assessed categories in the reader poll.

“This overwhelming vote of the demanding 'Sport Auto’ readers makes us very proud,” says Markus Kussmaul, vice president sales and marketing at RECARO Automotive Seating, a product group of Johnson Controls. “The ‘Best Brand’ poll 2016 is thus in many ways a benchmark – and an incentive for us to make sporty seating even better!”

The brand is setting new standards with the record anniversary: For the tenth consecutive time, RECARO is the number-one seat manufacturer. The company also recorded peak values for the increase in number of votes cast: Almost 10 percent more voted the brand onto the winner’s podium than was the case five years ago (2012: 82.2 percent). And the distribution of votes in the category seats / sport seats clearly shows whom the readers favor: There is a considerable gap to the 33.6 percent of the runner-up. Last but not least, the “Sport Auto Award” caps a very successful 2016, in which the RECARO brand was awarded nine prestigious industry awards for its premium products in automotive seating as well as race car and commercial vehicle seating.

Markus Kussmaul: “The fact that we have also achieved the highest score of all brands in 19 categories, with more than 91 percent of the vote, is the icing on the cake for us. It shows us that our brand promise of performance, craftsmanship, and design are well received by the consumer.”

The German “Sport Auto” readers’ poll is one of the most important brand barometers for the industry – with increasing importance: In its 24th edition, 16,953 car fans cast their votes for the most popular brands in 19 product categories. That is around 3300 participants more than in the previous year.
