World of RECARO.
Once Frank Stippler had recognized his motor sport ambitions, his promotion to the Porsche Carrera Cup followed in 1997 via several interim stops in various touring car series. In 2003 came the ultimate breakthrough: taking both the Carrera Cup and Supercup, Frank became the first driver to achieve the feat of winning the national and international championships in the same year. As he was also finishing his engineering studies at that time, his relationship with Audi, which endures to this day, began in 2004 in two roles: one as test and development driver for the Audi ‘S’ and ‘RS’ road models. Secondly, in a role that he has now performed for just as long, as a racing driver for the brand with the 4 rings. Being a trained mechanic and also a development driver, he has been able to fully contribute in this role and to achieve many national and international successes with the various evolutionary stages of the Audi R8. Highlights include without doubt the victories in the two most important 24-hours races for GT vehicles at the Nürburgring and Spa-Francorchamps.
