Kirchheim/Teck, March 23, 2021 – Unique performance for entry-level racing: As part of a new cooperation, BMW M Motorsport and RECARO Automotive are offering ambitious teams and drivers worldwide racing and club sports experiences in a class of their own. As Technical Partner, the leading manufacturer of performance car seats is equipping the top version of the BMW M2 CS Racing (450 hp) with its premium racing shell RECARO P1300 GT LW.

With the high-performance version of the BMW M2 CS Racing, BMW M Motorsport seamlessly continues its tradition of close-to-production vehicles for customer sports. The straight six-cylinder with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology and 450 hp is the successor to the BMW M240i Racing and is intended for use in worldwide racing series, in one-design cups as well as in club sport or at trackdays. These include the 24h Series and the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring as well as competitions in the new Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) in 2021.
It is precisely in these competitions that the RECARO P1300 GT LW is completely in its element. In cup and touring car racing series with frequent and fast driver changeovers, it scores with the sum of its advantages: As the racing shell, homologated to the highest safety requirements (FIA Standard 8862-2009 for "Advanced Racing Seats"), is not only a lightweight, but also offers a maximum of individual adjustment options. These include a flexible adapter for longitudinal adjustment and interchangeable pads in three sizes.
