Motor racing genes reawakened: the BMW Alpina B3 GT3 – naturally with seats from RECARO

Winning the title in the German GT championship, the ADAC GT Masters, was a worthy reason for Alpina to add a new model to the long tradition of cherished Alpina special editions. Limited to 99 units globally, the BMW Alpina B3 GT3 will be available in Germany from early 2012. Serving as the basis for this special model is the BMW Alpina B3 S Bi-Turbo Coupé with a gem of a motor: the racy straight 6 engine delivering 300 kW / 408 PS.


For this high-performance package there is naturally only one choice when it comes to seats: christened ‘Alpina Sportsters’ the model used as standard in this limited edition are Recaro Sportster CS seats specially adapted in look to the Alpina design with black upholstery in a leather/alcantara combination. Ergonomically shaped and firmly snug, these seats provide excellent comfort and optimum lateral hold. They have in-built heating, can be adjusted via the mounting points by c. 30mm in height and have manual mechanisms to adjust the seatback and move the seats forwards or back.
A particular highlight for all Alpina enthusiasts is the vertical decorative stripes in the Alpina motor racing colours of blue and green, which are incorporated into the front and rear seats.
