With 250,000 visitors in 2016, the IAA Commercial Vehicles in Hanover, Germany, reached record results. The world’s leading trade show was more international than ever. Three major topics dominated this IAA: electric mobility, digitization and urban logistics. Putting efficiency, connectivity and globalization at the center of the IAA presentation, RECARO Automotive Seating, a product group of Johnson Controls, was able to respond to these commercial vehicle megatrends and score with industry experts. The booth was well attended with more than 30 high-ranking representatives from OEM customers, 80 industry experts and several hundreds of truckers and freight forwarders visiting RECARO at this year’s show. “The IAA trade show for commercial vehicles in Hanover was a big success. Trade visitors were extremely interested in our innovations. We had intensive discussions with all important OEMs with agreements for follow up-meetings and with concrete further tasks for RECARO. The media were very interested in our exhibits, too. The joint team from RECARO Automotive Seating and Johnson Controls/Adient has done a tremendous job! The response from the market is very good – this gives the whole team strong momentum”, says David Herberg, executive director RECARO Commercial Vehicle Seating. RECARO Automotive Seating impressed visitors with innovations for the future of seating: As an innovator and technology leader in commercial vehicle seats, the seat expert presented the expanding portfolio for original equipment and aftermarket products. Among new seats and features, the team exhibited intelligent electric, memory and massage functions, seat covers that can be changed, and an extension of the modular seating platform for the mid-size commercial vehicle market segments in Asia, Europe and the Americas.
