Ultra-light components, powerful engines, sporty chassis with rock-hard suspension and tyres with extreme grip: everything on a racing car is designed to reach the very limits of physics when driving. Our excellent reputation on the motor sport scene is the result of decades of consistent development. RECARO has been the innovative leader in technology, safety and ergonomics. For example, RECARO set the standards for stability and safety in racing car seats back in 1976, with the first full bucket seat. In 1996, the “Pro Racer” was the world’s first racing shell with side head protectors, which revolutionised safety in motor sport. In the year 2002, RECARO racing seats were adapted in such a way as to allow the full use, with complete functionality, of the HANS (Head and Neck Support System) system. In 2010 RECARO presents the new racing seat RECARO Pro Racer Ultima at the Professional MotorSport World Expo in Cologne. This seat offers the perfect solution to ambitious drivers, in compliance with the new FIA standard 8862-2009 (Advanced Racing Seat). Seats according the new FIA standard are compulsory in the WRC. In testing the Pro Racer Ultima sustains immense loads of more than 30 kilonewton (approx. three tons). For varying requirements Recaro offers two different seats: The RECAROPro Racer Ultima 1.0 with a net weight of approx. 9.7 kgs is for professional use. For semi-professionals we recommend the RECARO Pro Racer Ultima. The ergonomics of the new racing seats are also unique. Replacable pads guarantee individual, optimum adjustment and perfect comfort to the driver.
