Success on the Nürburgring following a high-energy performance by the mechanics team: Video documentary from Gran Turismo TV

Even though things sometimes might seem very bad, the formula for success in long-distance endurance racing is a simple one: a good team never gives up. The team from Schulze Motorsport showed an especially impressive level of perseverance at this year’s 24-hour race at the Nürburgring. The team’s Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3, equipped with RECARO Ultima 1.0 racing shells, was so badly damaged in a Thursday training accident that withdrawal from the race was being considered. But the team decided to give their all. In a massive 21-hour repair operation, the team’s mechanics essentially rebuilt the vehicle from the ground up. The reward for this tremendous effort: the driver team consisting of Gran Turismo mastermind Kazunori Yamauchi, Jordan Tresson and the brothers Tobias and Michael Schulze not only left the starting line on time, but finished in an outstanding 14th place among about 170 participants. The team from Gran Turismo TV made a video about the 24 race and the enthusiasm of the Schulze team that is well worth seeing.
