For friends of classic cult vehicles, Stuttgart’s Retro Classics exhibition (March 13 to 16, 2014) is one of the highlights of the season. A brand with a rich tradition like RECARO of course has to be among the illustrious group of over 1400 exhibitors. The roots of the brand are in the company’s predecessor, Karosseriewerk Reutter & Co, which was founded in Stuttgart in 1906. In 1963, the focus was shifted from the exterior to the interior – the seat specialist Recaro (short for REutter CAROsserie) was born. At the Retro Classics (Hall 1, Stand 1E16 ), the “RECARO family” is the focus of the exhibition booth. In the style of the 1950s, the RECARO seat family up to the most recent model is presented at the booth, including different products from the areas of car seats, child seats, and airplane seats. In keeping with the theme of family, there will for the first time be a get-together of “veterans” – long-time employees and retirees – of the companies Reutter and RECARO on Friday, March 14, 2014, starting at 5 PM. “The invitees include active employees celebrating work anniversaries of more than 40 years, along with former employees from all business areas and locations,” said Frank Jung, head of the Tradition department of RECARO Group. “Since we do not have all the data of our ‘veterans,’ we would be delighted if readers of the RECARO blog would pass on this invitation to potential participants. Former employees will of course receive ticket vouchers for the show on Friday.
