A new star in motor sports, equipped with RECARO seats: The CLA 45 AMG Racing Series

Mercedes-AMG will be presenting a world premiere at the IAA International Motor Show in Frankfurt: the CLA 45 AMG Racing Series, its concept for a new amateur race car. The new touring car racer is based on the established CLA 45 AMG and has been optimized down to the smallest detail for use in worldwide popular racing series with two-liter turbo engines. The AMG racer also comes standard equipped with the RECARO P 1300 GT racing shell, made completely of carbon fiber for optimal weight reduction. The shell is mounted in the AMG with RECARO’s flexible adapter which allows the driver to adjust the length of the seat. The RECARO P 1300 GT thus offers the ideal solution for long distance races involving driver changes, and is the only racing shell homologated by the FIA according to the new standard 8862-2009 as an “advanced racing seat” with this feature.                   Images: © Mercedes-AMG
