Sightseeing through the “Green Hell”

When America’s pro racecar drivers and their fans come to Europe, their must-see lists don’t often include the Louvre, the Colosseum or Big Ben. Far more so than any of Europe’s typical tourist sites, what’s really spellbindingly attractive to them is the legendary Nordschleife of the Nürburgring. American pro rally racer, drift specialist and TV moderator Tanner Foust couldn’t agree more. While in Munich for the German edition of X Games, the Ford factory driver insisted on travelling across country to the Eifel Mountains to race a few laps through the Nürburgring’s famed “Green Hell” in a Ford Fiesta ST. While doing so, Foust naturally got the full benefits of the Fiesta ST’s standard-equipped RECARO sport seats, including optimum lateral stability and excellent vehicle contact.
