Representing RECARO under the number 5447

This weekend an event will take place that anyone with a passion for classic vehicles won’t want to miss: the Solitude Revival on the 110th anniversary of the historic racetrack south of Stuttgart. Of course, the storied RECARO brand will also be represented with a fitting attraction: one of the first Porsche 356 coupes (serial number 5447) ever produced. The Porsche will participate in the presentation runs around the former racetrack in the “S” category, and will also be on display at the south paddock, where visitors will be offered an inside look at the history of RECARO. Many people don’t know that RECARO has its roots in the Stuttgart-based company Reutter Carosserie (the first letters of which were combined to form the name RECARO). Until 1963, Reutter manufactured bodies for nearly every Porsche – including, of course, number 5447, which can be seen this weekend.
