Scania Streamline: in Pole Position thanks to great aerodynamics and seats from RECARO

With its brand new Streamline G- and R-series long-haul trucks, Sweden’s Scania has set new standards in profitability and driver comfort. For fuel efficiency, comprehensive improvements have been made in the vehicle’s aerodynamics and powertrain. And for comfort in the cab, the Swedes are now relying on the extensive expertise of the seating specialists at RECARO. Every new Scania Streamline in the series have the option of seats specially developed by RECARO for the commercial vehicle market which have been further customized to meet Scania’s specific requirements. The Streamline seats combine RECARO’s experience in ergonomics and long-haul comfort with the highest standards of quality, and with the ability to make the adjustments needed to fit a wide range of driver preferences. Not only do the new seats offer markedly improved lumbar support, but also noticeable gains in lateral support and an optimal, ergonomically-shaped seating surface. In addition, they are also available with a ventilation function if desired. Together, all of these features mean big advantages in driver comfort and health – and a real improvement in the difficult daily work of a truck driver.
