The Auto Shanghai, held from April 21 – 29, 2013, is the leading auto show for the Chinese market. RECARO also attended the auto show in the mega-city on the Yellow River, of course, and was represented by its own stand. “This is the first time we are showing our entire range of products for the OEM market in Shanghai”, explains Elmar Deegener, Vice President and General Manager of RECARO Automotive Seating. “Because we see huge market potential in China, we want manufacturers to get a first-hand look at the show at all of our know-how in this segment.” That’s why, at the stand, visitors can get a look at seats for a wide variety of uses – from racing shells to a comfortable but sporty seat for the Cadillac CTS V-series. A prominent example of RECARO’s know-how is provided by a specially-developed sport seat, which has been precisely designed to meet the demands of Chinese drivers. “It is always fascinating to experience the incredible dynamic in China, which of course is also reflected in the auto show”, explains Dr. Christian Debus, Global Vice President and responsible for the worldwide automotive seating business. “Right now, as a preliminary result, we can already report that all of our products have been very well received.
