Many visitors to the Geneva Motor Show agree: The AMG A 45, which made its first public appearance in Geneva, was truly a highlight of the show’s many premieres. Upon closer examination, this is no surprise, as the small dynamically-designed Mercedes sports car is entering the market equipped with what is currently the most powerful series production four-cylinder engine in the world, with 265 kW (360 hp) and 450 Nm (331.9 lb/ft) of torque. And, not least because of its standard all-wheel drive, the AMG can really bring all this power to bear right on the road: The A 45 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.6 seconds. With so much sporty talent, most buyers of the A 45 will certainly choose the best possible physical connection to their new Mercedes – namely by checking the box on the optional equipment list for the sports seats from RECARO. That’s a very good choice under any circumstances, as the performance seats, developed especially for the new AMG, offer a considerable plus in lateral support and ergonomics, resulting in noticeably more driving pleasure.
