24 HOURS. SO CLOSE.’ is the third part of the trilogy about the 24-hour races at the Nürburgring from filmmakers Tim and Nick Hahne and their production company STEREOSCREEN. In May 2012, BMW Team Schubert with its seven star drivers set out on the Nürburgring to try to win what is perhaps the world’s most gruelling race. The DVD and Blu-ray contains not only a record of the race weekend, but also numerous on-board laps from the cockpit of the BMW Z4 GT3 – including Uwe Alzen’s lap record from qualifying. Never was the Nürburgring circumnavigated faster at a 24-hour race meeting than by the touring cars star, who also provided a simultaneous commentary on the ‘hell ride’ in his own inimitable style.
