Racing look for the road – M3 gets TÜV-approved GT modification

Be it on the road or racetrack, the BMW M3 developed at the Bavarian Motor Works has been impressing drivers for what is now already four generations of this high-performance sports car. The high degree of perfection and love of detail included direct from the factory make the M3 a real challenge in terms of modifications. However, CLP Automotive, a company from Georgensgmünd in Franconia that specialises in bodywork kits, took this challenge on and is proud to be able to present a BMW M3 GT of exceptional class. Primarily responsible for the look is CLP’s wide body kit called ‘Interceptor’, which gives the BMW M3 GT Interceptor its name and is available for just €8,880. Included in the kit: - Front spoiler with carbon flap - Bonnet - Front wings - Side skirts - Side panel attachments - Rear apron - Rear spoiler The one-part 9 and 12 x 19-inch sports alloy wheels shine not only thanks to their radiant white colour adapted to the rest of the vehicle, but also by virtue of the visual adapter that gives the wheels the look of having a central locking nut. Beneath the bodywork, as well as optimised coil-over suspension that provides the requisite driving fun, there is a compressor-based performance upgrade that is responsible for the near 600 horsepower. An Akrapovic exhaust system made of titanium – naturally with matching modified tail pipes – completes the full package and also contributes further to the acoustic backdrop. The interior of the CLP M3 GT features Recaro full-shell seats and a modified Wiechers rollover cage, which provide the necessary safety. Weight optimisation was naturally also taken into account and rigorously implemented. The complete conversion has a value of €69,000.
