IAA 2015: IMPORTANT IMPULSES AND IDEAS

With a well-attended final weekend, the 66th edition of the International Auto Show IAA in Frankfurt came to an end on September 27, 2015. For Johnson Controls and its product group RECARO Automotive Seating, this year’s appearance not only offered many opportunities to conduct important discussions with journalists and OEM customers, but also for exchange with the end user. The focus was on the three major themes of the exhibition and the future-oriented topics of lightweight design, individualization, and autonomous driving: A perfect environment for RECARO Automotive Seating to provide convincing arguments for the new RECARO Sport Seat Platform. It brings together a very lightweight structure with the option to freely adjust the exterior design to individual requirements – something which inspired many visitors at the stand. “I’m sure the message came across,” says Elmar Deegener, Vice President at Johnson Controls and General Manager of RECARO Automotive Seating. “With our series-ready Sport Seat Platform, we have shown that RECARO is synonymous with sporty premium seats in cars and that we are thus ideally equipped for the big issues of the future. We have had very good discussions on site and also have received important impulses and suggestions.” At the stand, there was also much to discover about motorsport and the long history of RECARO. The exhibition in regard to 50 years of the RECARO Sport Seat as well as autograph sessions with the RECARO brand ambassadors and racing aces Armin Schwarz, Timo Bernhard, and Frank Stippler were well received by the audience. Especially for the young RECARO fans, it was something very special to meet drivers, who they previously knew only from TV – not surprisingly, the autograph sessions were very well visited.
