Team tankpool24: Fast MB Trucks with RECARO Seats

In the FIA European Truck Racing Championship (ETRC), the “tankpool24 Racing Team” is the last race team without manufacturer sponsorship which is entering the battle for the coveted championship points of the series. Headquartered in Swabia’s Nürtingen, the private team consists of a core of five people who run the entire organization in their spare time in addition to working at their “normal” jobs in the commercial vehicle sector. In order to ensure that the workplace of tankpool24 driver André Kursim is also well equipped in terms of seating, RECARO Automotive Seating is supporting the team in  the 2014 season with an especially light carbon racing shell of the type Pro Racer SPA. Team boss Markus Bauer of course did not want to miss the opportunity to pick up the premium race seat in person from the RECARO plant in Kirchheim/Teck, which is located only 20 kilometers from the team. “Since the launch of our team in truck motorsports some 18 years ago, we have always gone to the starting line with RECARO seats. Our drivers love the seats and do not want anything else, because ergonomics, lateral stability, and safety are outstanding with RECARO,” explains Markus Bauer. “Of course, a bit of local pride also plays a role in our decision in favor of RECARO: As a team from Baden-Wuerttemberg, we take trucks from Mercedes-Benz and try to get the other building blocks for success from this region as far as possible.
