A selection of the finest sports cars and tuning cars, a cool location, and numerous stars from the motorsports and tuner scene – this was the recipe for success for the RECARO event on November 20, 2013, the opening night of the Los Angeles Auto Show (LAAS). As a special treat, RECARO partner McLaren brought three samples of the brand-new model 12C to the event. “To attract attention on the exhibition grounds of the LAAS, you practically have to set off fireworks. For this reason we have for the last few years dispensed with an expensive fair presence, but have instead consciously concentrated on this small but refined RECARO evening event,” explains Markus Kussmaul, Vice President and head of the North American business of RECARO Automotive Seating. The invited guests – some 250 media representatives, decision-makers, and celebrities from the automotive sector and motorsports – used the opportunity for an active exchange of ideas and experiences and partied until late in the evening.
