Silver and bronze for RECARO teams at the 2013 VLN

This year’s season of the long distance racing championship at the Nürburgring (VLN – www.VLN.de) came to an end on October 27, 2013 with a truly heart-stopping finale in the all-class overall rankings: The Groneck Motorsport team, which up until that point had been in the lead, suffered an accident shortly after the start and was forced to complete the race in their Renault Clio Cup, which had only been provisionally repaired. With a lot of fighting spirit and just the right amount of luck, they were still able to ride into fifth place, and thus first place overall for the season. The other spots on the winners podium for the overall rankings in the series were taken by teams that left the starting line in RECARO racing shells. The team from Manthey Racing (Porsche 911 GT3 R) came in second place. Third place was taken by the team from Raeder Motorsport which, with their Audi TT-RS prominently featuring the RECARO logo, had led the overall results in the first half of the season. RECARO thanks all of the VLN teams for an exciting 2013 season and is already looking forward to the first race next year, together with all of the series’ fans.
