Q: Does Recaro have a factory outlet in Kirchheim?

A: RECARO has a showroom in Kirchheim/Teck where all seats, motorsports shells and commercial vehicle, are exhibited. You can have a consultation by arrangement. But you can also contact our Importer in your country. Details can be found on our Webiste under [Service/Dealersearch].

Q: Does RECARO sell second quality seats or seats with small defects at a lower price?

A: RECARO does not offer seconds. Defects are identified by our Quality Control and rectified immediately during the working process. This is standard procedure in the automotive industry.


Q: Are RECARO seats produced in Germany?

A: Yes, RECARO seats are exclusively produced in Kirchheim/Teck.


Q: What´s the difference between a RECARO dealer and a RECARO Service Partner?

A: RECARO dealers distribute RECARO seats and are often able to install them. A RECARO Service Partner can install seats and also do repairs. Normally RECARO service-partners have a wider range of sample seats on site.

Q: Where can I try a RECARO seat?

A: You can try a RECARO seat in our shop in Kirchheim/Teck or at an authorised RECARO dealer. Please contact the RECARO dealer before your visit to make sure the seat of interest is available. Q: Which seats fit into which cars?

A: RECARO offers seats for a wide range of cars. The compatibility list can be found on the RECARO Website under [Service/Downloads/Brochures/Baseframes]. Alternatively, you can use the [Carfinder] under [www.shop.recaro-automotive.com] to find out which seats fits into your car.


Q: How long does the delivery of a seat take?

A: Delivery time depends on the type of seat you order. Standard versions are available in a short time from authorised [RECARO dealers]. Delivery time for customised seats is about 8 weeks. A [RECARO dealer] in your country you can find on the RECARO Website under [Service/Dealersearch].


Q: I have back problems. Which RECARO seat do you recommend?

A: All RECARO seats are ergonomic seats, generally dedicated to people with back problems. To find the perfect seat, we recommend to try our range of seats at one of our [RECARO dealers] before purchasing. Testing the seat beforehand is advised as people have different physiques. Accordingly RECARO offers different types of seat.


Q: Is it possible to upgrade the car XY with a RECARO seat?

A: RECARO offers seats for a wide range of cars. To find out which RECARO seat fits into your car, please check our baseframe list on the RECARO homepage under [service/downloads/brochures/baseframes] or the [Car-Finder].


Q: Is the seat available in the original seat cover material of my car?

A: All seat cover materials other than the ones mentioned in "RECARO seat cover" must be sourced by the customers themselves. In some countries, the original car seat covers may not be available. Please check with your authorized [RECARO dealer].



Q: What is the lifetime of a RECARO seat?

A: RECARO stands for high quality. Depending on usage and care your RECARO seat is a long lasting quality product. Taxidriver Dieter Gutzlaff has his RECARO Idealseat in use for the last 40 years, having driven more than 2 Mio km's so far.


Q: How do I maintain my leather seat?

A: RECARO recommends the usage of a colourless leather-cream once a year. Let it work itself in overnight, then polish. As leather is a natural product, small colour change is possible.


Q: Where can I have my RECARO seat repaired?

A: To have your seat repaired please contact an authorized RECARO dealer into your country. An authorized [RECARO dealer] in your country you can find on the RECARO Website under [Service/Dealersearch] search.


Q: Covers of my OEM seat are old and used. Are such covers still available?

A: Please contact your car dealer. OEM spare parts are only available through the dealer network of the car manufacturers.



Q: Is it possible to re-cover a RECARO seat?

A: It is possible to re-cover a RECARO seat. Please contact an authorized RECARO dealer in your country. He will re-cover your seat for you. An authorized [RECARO dealer] in your country you can find on the RECARO Website under [Service/Dealersearch].


Q: Can RECARO racing shells with FIA-Homologation be used in road traffic?

A: No, RECARO racing shells with FIA-Homologation do not  have ABE certification and cannot be used in road traffic. RECARO offers  the [RECARO POLE POSITION ABE], a racing shell with road legalisation.


Q: Does RECARO offer a seat with memory function?

A: No. Due to less demand RECARO does not offer a seat with memory function.


Q: Which RECARO seats have an ABE or TÜV report?

A: RECARO seats with an ABE or TÜV report can be found on the RECARO Website under [Service/Downloads/ABE].


Q: Is it possible to use a RECARO seat after an accident?

A: For safety reasons RECARO does not recommend using a RECARO seat after an accident.


Q: On which type of RECARO seats an armrest can be fixed?

A: RECARO offers an armrest for the Ergomed and Specialist seats.


Q: Are RECARO seats height-adjustable?

A: The RECARO Ergomed E and ES, RECARO Style [Sportline] + [Topline] and RECARO Sport  [Sportline] + [Topline] are height-adjustable.
