Recaro Automotive GmbH – seat manufacturer working to secure a future for Germany location

September 11, 2024, Kirchheim, Germany. RECARO Automotive GmbH (Germany) confirmed today with the Works Council and employees the Company’s ongoing customer negotiations addressing production volumes, location, and a working supply chain over the next 4 months impacting the Kirchheim unter Teck location production and headcount. In addition, the mergers and acquisition (M&A) process is progressing swiftly with several interested parties with the possibility of preserving jobs in the region. Negotiations on the balance of interests will be carried out as quickly as possible to preserve jobs for a sales & technology footprint within the region to support customer needs in an agile manner. RECARO Automotive GmbH will need to decide on the exact procedure within the next few weeks.


Insolvency proceedings affect RECARO Automotive GmbH (Germany) exclusively and not any of the other RECARO Automotive or Commercial vehicle units. The RECARO Group (Licensor) holds no stake in RECARO Automotive; it is purely a licensing relationship.
