Caselette, Italy, November 27, 2025 - Global seating company RECARO Automotive invests in APAC market and welcomes Japanese automotive seating entity to the Group.
This investment is the second essential step within the global strategy of RECARO Automotive, focusing hence on the Asia-Pacific automotive market which will grow significantly over the next decade.

Since January 2025 RECARO Automotive has gained fresh momentum in Europe following an investment by Proma Group, an Italian company with around €1 billion in annual turnover, specialized in automotive components. Luca Pino states “What impresses me most is that we share the same passion for innovation and craftsmanship, which are essential for premium car seats. The company fits perfectly with our global strategy, not least because of its deep expertise and great business success in the Asia-Pacific automotive market.”
The Japanese company was founded 1988 and has been firmly rooted in the RECARO heritage and tradition ever since. It supplies as first tier car manufacturers directly and also offers premium car seats for the aftermarket. RECARO Automotive Japan has achieved great success with various OEM programs and lightweight aftermarket seats, like the RECARO Pro Racer RMS 2600A with a net weight of 4,4 kg. The innovative RECARO RCS seat from Japan is even available with sound system. The current management team in Japan will remain in place and be integrated into the global RECARO Automotive organization.
