After the presentation at the Salone Auto Torino 2025 (26–28 September), RECARO Automotive experienced an extraordinary weekend with the debut of the RECARO Racing Team at the San Marino Rally Legend, which ended on Sunday 5 October 2025.
Caselette, Italy, 7 October 2025 – The Rally Legend, now in its 23rd edition, has once again confirmed its role as an iconic event in international motorsport, capable of uniting great champions, official teams and new realities, in four days of competition with high adrenaline rate. The event is divided into four days of special tests: Thursday with the sprint race, Friday with the opening ceremony and the first challenges, Saturday with the most technical and spectacular tests, and Sunday with the conclusion of the race and the final awards ceremony.
With its first participation in the Rally Legend, the RECARO Racing Team strengthened the bond between the brand and the world of racing, bringing to the track the values that have always characterized RECARO Automotive: performance, innovation, safety and passion.
The presentation of the RECARO Racing Team at the Salone Auto Torino, which took place in one of the most prestigious international scenarios dedicated to the automobile, represented a key moment for the brand, underlining the desire to further strengthen the link with motorsport. The preview of the racing car, unveiled to the public during the Turin event on the press day of 26 September, generated great interest and enthusiasm, setting the stage for the team's competitive debut.
Representing the team in the race were the pilot Paolo Vallivero, known as “il Valli”, and his co-pilot Stefano Cirillo, at the wheel of the BMW M3 number 23. The crew perfectly embodied the RECARO spirit, standing out for their passion, determination and a precise and spectacular ride that won the attention of the public along the special stages of the Rally Legend. The BMW M3, symbol of power and sporting tradition, showed all its character, enhancing the synergy between technology and performance that distinguishes the brand.
Rally Legend 2025: il Valli and Cirillo dominate the C4 class with the BMW M3 E30
During the 23° Rally Legend, Paolo Vallivero, “Il Valli”, and Stefano Cirillo brought their 1990 BMW M3 E30, entered in the Classic Car category, into the race. The team competed on ten special stages spread over the three days of competition, highlighting consistency and determination. At the end of the race, the duo placed fourth in the Classic category, coming in first within their class, with a total time of 1:03’24.6. This performance confirms the competitiveness and reliability of the team, capable of best managing the challenges of a challenging course and consolidating its reputation in the panorama of historic rallies.
