The ultimate endurance test. Hunaudières, Mulsanne Arnage ... the 24h Le Mans is the ultimate test of endurance for human and machine. With over 5,000 kilometers to cover, and full throttle on 85% of the Circuit des 24 Heures, it’s jaw-dropping stuff. Most of the route is on public roads, while extremely heavy traffic constantly forces the drivers to re-evaluate their best racing line. By day and by night. In these conditions, peak performance is only achievable with exceptional products. Like RECARO racing shells. And with more than 250,000 enthralled spectators, Le Mans is a real highlight in the motorsport calendar.

A very special seating experience. An ergonomic sitting position also means a comfortable position. Be it on the road or racetrack. So, thanks to the varying pads, the RECARO Podium GF is available in two sizes: size M for medium build drivers and size L for larger build drivers. This means the shell can be customized for optimal comfort and fit. The beauty of the pads’ design is that, rather than being simply flat, they are expertly shaped to fit the contours of your body. This allows air to circulate through the seat – a built-in cooling system.

Revolutionary by tradition.

In 1965, RECARO unveiled its sports seat at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt, revolutionizing car seating. Following soon after in 1967 came the first road-legal shell seat – the RECARO Rally. In 1974 we developed the Rally II, the first recliner shell seat for road use. Its successor the Rally III from 1979, and our Pole Position (ABE), launched in 2005, are still regarded as milestones in our shell seat development.
