RECARO has been setting new standards for over 110 years. The company’s roots go way back to the Stuttgarter Carosserie- u. Radfabrik founded in 1906 by master saddler Wilhelm Reutter. Even back then, the company developed and produced bodies for the most well-known manufacturers of the time, focusing primarily on interior fittings. So seat specialization was the next logical step. In 1963, REutter CAROsserie became seat specialist RECARO.

Our customers can access all services from a single source, from the initial concept right through to the start and supervision of series production. These services, among others, include fundamental research, the latest CAD workstations, excellent engineering services, our own prototype and testing department and an in-house crash simulation facility. Extensive technical calculations, FEM simulations, rapid prototyping and rapid tooling ensure swift, cost-effective processes every step of the way. RECARO Automotive’s efficient project management system guarantees that we deliver even the most ambitious project aims. We connect customers and suppliers at an early stage and ensure effective cost control, precise scheduling and tracking: strong foundations for successful project management. And we have all of the industry-standard certifications.

By defining our quality and environmental policy, we have demonstrated our absolute dedication to maintaining and further improving our high standard of quality for our products and services in accordance with our zero-defect strategy. The Continuous Improvement Process is an integral part of the company culture in order to further optimise all processes and constantly reassess what has been achieved. A successful company is based on highly motivated and skilled employees, which is a key element of the strategic alignment of RECARO Automotive. We place particular importance on the economical use of resources and on environmental protection – why we use e.g. 100 % green electricity. For us, bringing economics and ecology into harmony is an ethical obligation. This led us to obtain ISO 14001 certification. We thereby face the constant requirement to meet the demands and expectations of our customers, the market and the environment while taking into account the efficiency of our company in cooperation with our employees.
