RECARO Automotive collaborates with United Safety on commercial vehicle seating

Caselette, Italy, August 4, 2026 - Global seating company RECARO Automotive and United Safety & Survivability Corporation (“United Safety”) have announced a collaboration on Commercial Vehicle Seating in North America and Oceania.

This cooperation with United Safety is an essential step within the global strategy of RECARO Automotive, focusing on the development, production and distribution for medium- and heavy-duty commercial vehicle innovative seating across the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

The partnership brings together two complementary strengths. Since more than 60 years RECARO Automotive has been renowned for premium seating with best ergonomics and attractive design. For nearly five decades United Safety has been known as expert in advanced suspension technology. The two companies will focus on a technical, commercial and distribution collaboration.

I am very proud to partner with United Safety on the commercial vehicle seating in North America and Oceania”, says Luca Pino, CEO of RECARO Automotive. Since January 2025 RECARO Automotive is part of the Proma Group, an Italian company with around €1 billion in annual turnover, specialized in automotive components. “We share the same understanding for durable technologies and synergies, which are essential for commercial vehicle customers. United Safety as partner fits perfectly with our global strategy, not least because of its deep expertise in suspension technology.”

“This is a defining moment for our seating business,” says Joseph Mirabile, CEO of United Safety & Survivability Corporation. “Partnering with RECARO Automotive is a great step into the future to leverage synergies in the development, production and distribution of commercial vehicle seating and thus create added value for customers.”
