For fans and those who want to become such, the Kirchheim-based premium manufacturer is now simplifying the step to perfect driving pleasure. As of now, selected original car seats for passenger cars, for classic cars or for the office, as well as racing shells for motor sports, are available from the brand's official webshop (www.shop.recaro-automotive.com), as is the matching equipment for installation.
For drivers with a passion, RECARO's appearance at the Essen Motor Show (Hall 3, Stand 3A25) offers the ideal opportunity for an extended test seat before ordering. Among the exhibits on site are:
- The RECARO P1300 GT LW. Homologated to FIA Standard 8862-2009 for "Advanced Racing Seats", the shell combines the highest safety requirements and individual comfort. Its interchangeable cushion pads in three sizes and the flexible adapter for longitudinal adjustment create a maximum of individual adjustment possibilities. It is ideal for competitions with frequent, rapid driver changes and is also homologated for use in GT and touring car racing.
- The RECARO Pro Racer SPG. The top product for all motorsport applications according to FIA 8855-1999 is equipped with a head protector, shock-absorbing foam, flame-retardant cover materials and adhesive nubs in the shoulder and seat area for optimum support. The Pro Racer is designed for use with HANS (Head and Neck Support) systems and is optionally available in a wider XL version for larger riders. Both sizes are also available in a CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced plastic) version. With the FIA-homologated flexible adapter for longitudinal adjustment, the shell offers individual adaptation options for different body sizes and is therefore also ideally suited for racing operations with frequent driver changes.
- The RECARO Pole Position (ABE). A thoroughbred racing shell – but with a license for a sporty ride on the open road. Its body-hugging contoured shell, including integrated headrest, meets the highest demands for controlled driving at the limit at all times and offers the best lateral support.
- The RECARO Classic Pole Position (ABE) and Classic LS. These two seats were developed to fit the iconic BMW classic E30 and will make their debut at the Essen Motor Show 2021. They will make the hearts of all those beat faster who want to combine historically authentic flair in the cockpit with the latest standards in safety and comfort.
In addition, the booth offers the opportunity to try out the new RECARO Podium. It is the world's only and lightest purebred performance shell approved for use both in racing and in performance vehicles on the road: with its low center of gravity, pronounced lateral support and significantly shaped shoulder support, it keeps the body stable in the seat even under high lateral forces - and provides direct feedback from the road at all times thanks to the slim shell and tight padding with different pad sizes (M and L).
