The new P 1300 GT racing shell from RECARO Automotive Seating sets new standards in motorsports. This year, the Mathol Racing team has been driving with the new RECARO highlight product in the VLN long distance racing championship at the Nürburgring, and very successfully so, as customer feedback shows. “It is important to me that I make cars as safe as possible, to the best of my ability” explains Matthias Holle, team principal of Mathol Racing. Thus, as a matter of principle, his team’s touring vehicles meet a very high standard of safety. But when additional opportunities arise to make the drivers even safer, Matthias Holle takes advantage of them. That’s why, since this year, Mathol Racing has relied on the new RECARO P 1300 GT racing shell: “The seats are a real quantum leap”, Holle says. “I haven’t experienced such a dramatic difference from a new product in a very long time. Normally, you only notice small improvements; in this case, it is an improvement of more than 100 percent. This isn’t just an optimization, but rather a very well done innovation.” Holle’s drivers were also very impressed after their first few runs on the Nürburgring’s Nordschleife with the P 1300 GT. “It is incredible: the seat has a completely different feel. I have a much better sense of the car”, said VLN driver Wolfgang Weber.
