Now, after five years, the Blue Oval returns to the Circuit de la Sarthe. It’s officially entering the global FIA GT3 category and racing in 2024 — with the Mustang GT3 race car — based on the brand-new 2024 Mustang Dark Horse™ model.

Built for GT3 competition by Multimatic Motorsports and Ford Performance, the new Ford Mustang GT3 race car features a bespoke short-long arm suspension, Multimatic DSSV dampers, rear-mounted transaxle 6-speed gearbox, carbon fibre body panels, as well as a unique aero package developed to meet GT3 targets. It is powered by a 5.4-litre Coyote-based V8 engine, developed by Ford Performance and built by World Rally Championship partners, M-Sport.

The new racing shell from RECARO according FIA 8862-2009 offers a 6-point connection to the vehicle and ventilation.
